Empire is characterized fundamentally by a lack of boundaries: Empire’s rule has no limits. The concept of Empire posits a regime that effectively encompasses the spatial totality, or really that rules over the entire world. No territorial boundaries limit its reign.
Forces which contest Empire and effectively prefigure an alternative global society are themselves not limited to any geographical region. The geography of these alternative powers, the new cartography, is still waiting to be written—or really it is being written today through the resistances, struggles and desires of the multitude.

Look into your depths, pray to your depths, waken the dead. (I would like to learn to live, finally).
Aurora explores hauntology and laborious craft. The subject is a patchwork quilt created by my namesake, Gloria.
The video was compressed through a PNG image processor, transforming 8 minutes and 10 seconds of footage into 5,497 individual frames. I re-sequenced the frames by hand at 0.04-second intervals, reconstructing the video frame by frame.
